Seminar Description
With the introduction of the Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP), individuals living with disabilities and their families must be much more strategic with financial planning. It's very likely that individuals who qualify for the RDSP - and are able to maximize their grants and bonds - will have assets valued in the hundreds of thousands of dollars in the future. This does not include funds held in trusts, insurance policies and other assets that could help support your family member. This seminar provides an overview of how to maximize government supports while steering clear of common pitfalls. It discusses critical issues related to wills, estates planning and trusts.
"Investing for a Loved One" is the fourth of six two-hour seminars offered as part of the "Elements of a Good Life" series. Feel free to register for just this one evening seminar, several of the seminars, or the complete series, which includes "Planning for a Good Life in Uncertain Times".
Who Will Benefit?
Families who are looking to plan for and protect the financial well-being of your relative with a disability both now and in the future.
